Summer 2006 heralded the exciting launch of the new aquarium at Loch Lomond Shores-a fascinating project giving a real insight into the amazing underwater world and also fabulous views of Loch Lomond.  You can also browse through a variety of quality retail outlets including the legendary Jenners store, sample a range of excellent restaurants and bars while enjoying the spectacular backdrop of the Loch and its islands surrounded by the beautiful Highland hills and Ben Lomond. From here you also have the opportunity for woodland walks, loch cruises, canoe and bike hire and a public facility where you can launch your own boat to explore the loch.Image

Also on our doorstep at Lomond Woods is the Gateway to Scotland’s first National Park, where you can enjoy the wonders of some of Scotland’s finest scenery, explore the habitats of Scotland’s native wildlife and experience a huge variety of sports and activities from the lush, fertile lands at the southern end of the Loch to the open wildernesses of the north.

By contrast, only 17 miles south of Lomond Woods is the vibrant, exciting city of Glasgow, easily reached by car, or, if you prefer, by train from Balloch station. To the east lies Stirling, steeped in history with its splendid castle, the William Wallace monument and the famous battlefield of Bannockburn with its exciting visitor centre. Then to the north and west of Lomond Woods the dramatic scenery of the Western Highlands unfolds offering spectacular views and fascinating mountain ranges.Image

Summer or winter, you can be sure of a warm welcome at Lomond Woods. We can offer all of the freedom and comfort of our superb holiday home accommodation, excellent facilities for your own tourer, or the perfect weekend retreat to escape into your very own holiday home. So, however and whenever you choose to holiday, you are assured of five star facilities and top class service.
